Meanwhile, here's a picture of a sunset over the field behind my house last week. I'm actually facing east, but it was so spectacular that it reflected all over the sky. My digital camera really can't do it justice.

Lovely post, Sandy. That's exactly what I meant to say.
My son's school is actually a really good one and I wonder how much the pennies for Brazil plan was really about teaching counting skills, with environmental consciousness just tacked on, like an added bonus.
One of the commenters at my blog noted that while this particular lesson was limp, she does believe that int'l education (esp. regarding the environment) is really important. I think so, too, but only once kids are older. Do you have an opinion on that? When I have a minute (ha) I will post on it.
